Partnering for Preparedness: A Shout-Out to Adaptive Resilience Solutions
At Next72Hours, we believe in empowering every New Zealander to be prepared for the unexpected. We're constantly inspired by organizations that share this commitment, and today, we want to shine a spotlight on Adaptive Resilience Solutions – a team dedicated to strengthening community, business, and individual resilience in the face of disasters.
Who is Adaptive Resilience Solutions?
Born out of a clear need for enhanced communication and preparedness strategies, Adaptive Resilience Solutions emerged after the success of their first Rural Resilience Expo. This event brought together local experts and emergency personnel, sparking vital conversations about community readiness. Recognizing that even their own community's emergency plan was outdated, they committed to bridging these gaps through updated community plans, engaging strategies, and ongoing education.
Their mission is clear: to empower you, your community, or your business to Prepare, Stay Aware, and Respond Safely during an emergency. They achieve this through comprehensive education, specialized training, and strategic community planning support.
A Team Built on Experience
The strength of Adaptive Resilience Solutions lies in its experienced team:
Dot (Founder/Director): With a Diploma in Emergency Management, Level 4 CIMS certifications (Coordinated Incident Management Systems) in various functions, and 20 years in Ambulance Operations, Dot brings a wealth of practical and strategic expertise. Her 25 years with FENZ (Fire and Emergency New Zealand), rising from Recruit to Deputy Chief, underscore her deep understanding of emergency response.
Anna Marketing & 2IC
Lance (Project Manager & IT): Lance combines extensive IT experience (35 years) with emergency care knowledge (NZ Certificate in Emergency Care Level 3, 7 years in FENZ, 3 years as St John First Responder). His background in adult education and project management ensures effective delivery of their programs.
Ryan (Social Media & Website Design): Ryan's diverse background, including Red Cross DWST Team and LandSAR experience, complements his technical skills in Python and WordPress, ensuring their message reaches a wider audience.
Why Community Resilience Matters
As we've seen with recent events across New Zealand, from earthquakes to floods and wildfires, being prepared is not just about individual survival kits – it's about collective strength. Adaptive Resilience Solutions emphasizes that through planning, engagement, and education, communities can better withstand the impacts of natural disasters and climate change. Their approach aligns perfectly with our own philosophy at Next72Hours: a well-prepared community is a resilient community.
